D-Link has finally launched its Boxee Box device in the Indian market. For starters, Boxee is a service that allows consumers to watch streaming content like TV shows, video clips directly onto their PC, iPhone or an iPad. But with the uniquely designed Boxee Box, a user can now watch the same streaming content directly on their TV sets in HD quality. In addition to the vast Boxee library, a user can also add their favorite entertainment sources with an RSS or an XML link or just stream media content from their home network directly to the TV via Boxee Box.
Boxee Box supports a wide variety of multimedia codecs and supports social networks like Facebook and Twitter.
D-Link will sell the Boxee Box for Rs. 13,999.
