Nintendo has announced an unexpected price drop to its 3DS console in United States. Starting August 12 consumers in U.S. will be able to pick the 3D console for $169.99 as compared to the previous price of $249.99. Nintendo says this value will help consumers to pick their world’s first 3D-equipped handheld console and experience wide variety of glasses-free 3D games.
Nintendo is also giving a little treat to early adopters of 3DS. Users who’ve logged in to the Nintendo eShop at least once before August 11 (11:59PM EST), will get 10 NES and Game Boy Advance games for free.
Nintendo 3DS was launched in U.S. in March and has sold 830,000 units since the launch.
