Apple has announced the world’s first display to support Thunderbolt I/O technology. For the uninitiated, Thunderbolt technology features bi-directional channels allowing transfer speeds of 10Gbps.
This Apple’s 27-inch Display features an IPS panel and supports a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. With a Mac connected to the display, a user can extend their desktop to access the display’s FaceTime HD camera, Thunderbolt port, Ethernet, FireWire 800, USB 2.0 ports and a speaker system. The display also comes integrated with a MagSafe charger to allow charging of Mac notebooks.
The Thunderbolt Display will arrive in India in the next 60 days carrying a price tag of Rs. 56,900.
