Huawei started off as a phone manufacturer offering low-end affordable Android devices. Now although their motive is still the same – that is to provide affordable Android phones – they’ve upped the ante on the hardware front. Check out the Glory (M886) phone for instance. The phone is expected to reach US carriers like Cricket for a price of under $300.
For a mid-range price tag, Glory packs in some powerful hardware like 1.4GHz MSM8655T CPU, an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash, 3G support, 2GB internal memory with microSD card slot and 1900mAh battery.
Huawei Glory will initially run on Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread OS but the company says the phone will be easily upgradeable to the next Android version – 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich.
