LG Electronics has collaborated with Memjet to reveal Machjet LPP6010N printer in LG’s home market. The printer is touted to be the world’s fastest A4 color desktop printer that prints out 60 pages per minute with color outputs in 1600×800 dpi resolution. Such high speed and resolution is achieved with Memjet’s proprietary Page Straight Array (PSA) Technology that packs more than 70,000 ink nozzles on a single printhead which is 17 times the nozzle density of traditional printheads and allows to deliver more than 700 million drops of ink per second on a page.
Additionally, this Machjet printer is power efficient that consumes only 32W as compared to almost 600W of color laser printers during normal operations.
LG will sell this printer in South Korea from this month at an undisclosed price.
