Nokia unveils Oro, gold-plated phone with Symbian OS

If blinged phones are your thing, Nokia has got something to excite you. Behold the Nokia Oro that boasts an 18ct gold-plated body, sapphire crystal and leather back. Nokia says the use of high quality materials not only increases its aesthetic appeal but also makes the phone sturdier and durable.

Internally, the phone still runs Symbian but will come with the latest Anna update and feature a 3.5-inch AMOLED display, pentaband 3G, Wi-Fi, 8MP camera with 720p HD video recording, etc.

Nokia will release the device in select markets in Europe, Eastern Europe, China and Middle East in Q3 for an estimated price of 800 euros.
