Nvidia today announced that its Tegra 2 System-on-chip has received the Best Choice Award from Taipei Computer Association who handles the Computex expo. The Tegra 2 chip was selected amongst 400 products from electronics product category and marks a third straight year for winning this award.
Nvidia had previously won the Best Choice award for its ION chipset in 2009 and GeForce GTX 480 GPU in 2010.
Tegra 2 is a dual-core processor that is used in many new smartphones and tablets like the LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix 4G, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 etc.
Nvidia is also working on the next-gen Tegra chip codenamed as Kal-El, which will have a quad-core CPU.
