Sony Ericsson to release Android 2.3.3 next week for Xperia Play and Arc

UPDATE: Hang on! Recombu was contacted by Sony Ericsson who confirm that its Android 2.3.3 coming and not Android 2.3.4 as reported earlier.

Looks like Sony Ericsson will be the first company outside Google to get the latest Android update for their devices. The Android 2.3.4 which is only available for Nexus devices, will be released next week for Sony Ericsson’s Xperia Play and Arc.

Apart from the OS update and number of bug fixes, Sony Ericsson will also integrate a Facebook app, which is called as “Facebook inside Xperia.” This Facebook app will allow users to share what music they’re currently listening to, download or upload photos to the device, better integration of Facebook contacts and syncing of Facebook Calendar with the Google Calendar.
