Apple exec says Samsung crossed the line but will still buy their components

During an earnings call Apple’s Chief Operating Officer confirmed that Cupertino giant will maintain a relationship with Samsung despite the lawsuit brought by them against Samsung’s Electronics division.

Cook said they tried to work out the issue for some time but then decided “to rely on the courts” after Samsung “crossed the line.”

However, Apple’s relationship as a LCD panel and semiconductors buyer will remain unaffected.

“We are Samsung’s largest customer (for liquid crystal display panels and semiconductors) and Samsung is a very valued component supplier to us,” said Cook.
