BlackBerry PlayBook now available in US and Canada

As promised, RIM has released its maiden tablet in the United States and Canada. BlackBerry PlayBook can be bought via RIM’s website or various participating retailers for $499 for 16GB and going up to $699 for larger capacity 64GB one.

BlackBerry PlayBook is one of the few professional-grade tablets in the market that features a 7-inch WSVGA display, 1GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM, BlackBerry Tablet OS (QNX OS), full HD video playback, 3MP front and 5MP rear cameras capable of recording and outputting 1080p HD video, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, gyroscope and magnetometer.
