New images of RIM’s upcoming BlackBerry Monaco / Monza have surfaced on the web. BGR got their mitts on the device as well as some info related to the phone. The codenames – Monaco and Monza are given to signify the phone for different operators like Monaco will be restricted to Verizon whereas Monza will be a global GSM variant.
The phone, most likely to be incorporated under the Storm family is said to be “thinner, faster and sexier” that runs on BlackBerry OS 6.1. One interesting change is that the phone is tied up with a BlackBerry ID that is used to login to the device. BGR speculates the use of an ID as opposed to a PIN could make way for new cloud-based services.
BlackBerry Monaco / Monza along with many new BlackBerries are expected to go official at BlackBerry World expo in May.
