Indian hardware manufacturer, HCL has jumped onto the tablet bandwagon with its ME range of tablets. Three tablets were unveiled and admittedly, not the friendliest of names to remember but tablets are decently spec’d.
Starting with ME AE7, its a 7-inch tablet with WVGA resolution (800×480) support and features Android 2.2 OS, 800MHz CPU, 256MB RAM, 2GB internal memory, VGA camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, SD card slot, 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD card slot, GPS and 2400mAh battery. The ME AE7 is priced at Rs.14,990.
The ME AM7 is another 7-inch tablet and ups the ante from AE7 with WSVGA display (1024×600), 512MB RAM, 8GB iNAND memory, HSDPA support, GPS, 1.3MP camera, full HD video playback and 4200mAh battery. It will go for Rs.25,790.
The last tablet dubbed as ME AP10A is a 10-inch one with WSVGA resolution (1024×600), 1GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 16GB iNAND, GPS and digital compass, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 1.3MP camera, 1080p video support and 3650mAh battery. The AP10A is priced at Rs.32,990.
