More than 10m Galaxy S units sold

Samsung has announced that its bestselling Android phone aka the Galaxy S has surpassed sales of 10m units. The phone sales have been averaging to about 1.4m per month and took just under 7 months to reach this milestone, making it the fastest selling smartphone in Samsung’s history.

A region-wise breakup shows that Galaxy S enjoyed the maximum sales in North America (4m units) followed by Europe (2.5m units) and then South Korea (2m units).

Galaxy S features a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, 4-inch Super AMOLED display, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, 5MP camera, 720p HD video playback and recording and more.
