Japanese mobile subscribers wanting to delve into the LTE goodness will be able to do so from 24th of next month. NTT DOCOMO will launch Xi (read as Crossy) that will become Japan’s first LTE service giving users a max. downlink of up to 75Mbps.
DOCOMO will initially sell USB dongles, and LTE-compatible mobile phones slated after after 2011.
Plans start from an affordable 1,000 yen on contract and will be available in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka areas. More regions will be added thereafter.
