If Antennagate wasn’t enough to put a blemish into iPhone 4’s otherwise clean image, Gdgt now claims that Apple has discovered another potential design flaw in its bestselling device. Apparently, the new issue, referred to as Glassgate is related to the glass body breaking when used with a case.
The site says slide-on iPhone 4 cases are the main culprit here as the case causes unexpected scratching and in worse cases break the rear pane of the glass.
Furthermore, Gdgt’s sources say that as a pre-emptive measure, Apple blocked sales of such cases in their retail stores and have setup a team to investigate this issue.
Needless to say, Apple won’t confirm anything, which means we might have to wait and watch before case-using iPhone 4 users rush to Apple to explain their situation.
