Samsung has expanded its bada family, taking the total number of handsets powered by the OS to five. The latest device is known as Wave II (GT-S8530) and brings in some new features like a bigger display and new text input software.
The Wave II now has a 3.7-inch Super-Clear LCD (800×480) as opposed to original Wave’s 3.3-inch Super AMOLED and includes Nuance’s T9 Trace input method. T9 Trace works like Swype but also supports non-QWERTY alphanumeric keypad.
Amongst other features, the phone has a 1GHz CPU, HSDPA, 5MP camera with LED flash and HD video recording, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 3.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, 2GB internal memory, microSD card slot and 1500mAh battery.
It will be available in Germany from next month for 429 euros ($588).
