LG has introduced an oddly named Wink series of touchscreen phones targeted at youth and first time touchscreen users. The range includes three devices, namely the Wink, Wink Style and Wink 3G.
LG says the Wink series provides better texting functionality with the help of an onscreen QWERTY keyboard, enhanced music options, improved cartoon-styled UI and better social networking support.
The Wink is the most compact in the series that features a 2.4-inch display, FM Radio, microSD card slot and 3.5mm audio jack.
The Wink Style comes with a tad larger screen, which stands at 2.8-inch and features various color options with “accents on the front button panel.”
Wink 3G, expectedly features 3G connectivity, which LG reckons is apt for today’s youth who doesn’t want to “compromise on network connectivity and design.”
The LG Wink Series will be available in Europe and Middle East from mid-August whereas Latin America, CIS and select Asian countries will get it in this quarter.
