HTC Evo 4G to get Android 2.2 from August 3

Sprint has officially confirmed to roll out the Froyo update for Evo 4G. Starting from August 3, Evo users will get the Android 2.2 goodness and other improvements like voice dialing over Bluetooth, expanded application storage to allow more apps, 4-way camera rotation, improved browser performance with faster JavaScript engine and Adobe Flash support.

Remember, the update will start from August 3, which means all users should receive the update by mid-August after an update notification. The update will be available over-the-air.
