Bloomberg’s got some meaty info regarding Research in Motion’s tablet launch plans. The Blackberry tablet will apparently be known as Blackpad and if Bloomberg’s sources are to be believed, it will be unveiled in November.
RIM’s tablet will go head to head against iPad and is said to feature a 9.7-inch display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth so that it can be connected with other Blackberry smartphones.
The article also points out that RIM’s scheduled event this Monday will see the unveiling of 9800, a slider smartphone featuring QWERTY keyboard and big touchscreen display.

BlackPad says
RIM’s core market is Enterprise and there’s a lot of IT departments that already support BB products. If RIM can release a tablet that ties in nicely with that system, and offers companies some decent enterpise software, they could own the enterpise tablet market.
