Danish toy manufacturer, LEGO today announced to roll out its augmented reality Digital Boxes to its shops worldwide. The Digital Box was created metaio and what the box does is that it allows buyers to know what the LEGO toy will look like after construction. Buyers need to place the LEGO product in front of the Digital Box and the software automatically augments showing 3D animation from all the angles.
LEGO claims “purchase decisions at the point of sale are mostly driven by the excitement of customers about a product” and augmented reality helps to take it on a new level.
