UPDATE: 16GB iPhone 3GS will cost Rs. 40,500 in Mumbai, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh or Rs. 35,500 in rest of India. Similarly, the 32GB variant will set you back by Rs. 47,500 or Rs. 41,500. Vodafone also announced three plans to go with it. The prepaid plan costs Rs. 100 whereas the postpaid ones are set at Rs. 799 and Rs. 999. The 799 plan will give users Rs. 249 of talk time along with 250MB of data and 999 plan gives Rs. 299 worth of talk time with 600MB of data.
iPhone 3GS on Airtel goes on sale from today but this report from Reuters say that Vodafone too, is selling the Apple device in the country, “effective immediately”. We’re uncertain about the price but it should be similar to Airtel’s offering and of course, locked to Vodafone. We’ll update here as soon as we hear some more details.
