Netflix’s instant-streaming discs for Wii are now shipping. Although it won’t be available to all, bunch of Netflix members will receive the discs after which will be launched for all users. Unlike the Xbox 360 and PS3 counterparts, Netflix movies on Wii will be in SD resolution. Moreover, the Netflix application for Wii won’t allow catalog access, which means users will have to add movies and TV shows to their Instant Queue from their PC.

I wish Blockbuster Total Access would offer the extensive download and streaming features of Netflix. I have a Wii and this is a compelling reason to switch.
