Skype discontinues Lite and Windows Mobile versions

Skype has pulled the plug off the Lite and Windows Mobile versions. In a FAQ page, they’ve confirmed to remove the download links of the Skype Lite and Skype for Windows Mobile because they can’t provide users “an improved mobile experience”.

Discontinuing a product altogether might not seem a right solution but Skype believes these versions were unable to provide enhanced experience when compared to the Skype for iPhone or Symbian.

For those who’re already using the Lite version, Skype will allow to use it throughout 2010 whereas Windows Mobile users can continue to use it.
