LG Display has announced that its in-cell touch panel is the first such panel to score a Windows 7 Touch Logo Certification. The certification is given to display panels after a series of tests that includes to validate the quality of panels and compatibility with Windows 7 OS.
The product is a 13.3-inch capacitive in-cell multi-touch panel and by in-cell means the touch sensors are built right into the display as opposed to other touchscreen panels that place touch sensors on top of the display panel.
The mass production of this panel is expected in 2H 2010.
