Sony today announced the date for the worldwide launch of PS3’s motion controller. Rumored to be known as Arc, the motion-sensing controller will make its way out in fall of this year in most of the countries. The controller was set for a Spring release but has been pushed back so that consumers will have an extensive games lineup when its launched.
“We have decided to release the Motion Controller in fall 2010 when we will be able to offer an exciting and varied line-up of software titles that will deliver the new entertainment experience to PS3 users, ” said Kazuo Hirai, President and Group CEO, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.
The new controller coupled with PlayStation Eye camera will be able to detect precise movement of user’s hand and body movements.
