Ballmer has iterated time and again that Microsoft is not interested in manufacturing hardware of its own for Windows Mobile. But Jefferies & Company analyst Katherine Egbert thinks otherwise. She claims recent industry checks from the firm say Microsoft has restarted the Pink project.
Most details are unknown but few things Egbert reckons is that will be a Zune-like phone running WM7, will have 5MP camera with 720p video recording function and some music subscription or purchase option.
Egbert believes the phone could launch in two months’ time, as early as MWC next month or CTIA month after.
