Lenovo has launched its first 11.6-inch ultraportable notebook targeted at small and medium businesses. Hailing from the X Series, ThinkPad X100e is touted as one of the thinnest and lightest laptops carrying an affordable $449 starting price.
The X100e will come in options of AMD CULV processors, starting with Neo MV-40/M780G while Turion and other Neo CPUs will be available later on. Depending on your choice, it will run Windows XP or 7 with specs sheet boasting up to 4GB of RAM, up to 320GB HDD, ATI Radeon 3200 graphics, 802.11n, Ethernet, Bluetooth, USB and optional 3G. There’s also a VGA port, card reader, multi gesture touchpad, webcam optimized for low-light and 6-cell of battery capable of giving up to 5 hours of runtime (or just 2 hours for 3-cell).
