Indian 3G Auction to be further delayed

The great Indian 3G auction delay continues. After locking in the Jan 14 date, an anonymous source has confirmed to Dow Jones that the government will reschedule the auction to a later date.

The reason for the delay is not known and neither the latest date.

“It will obviously not be on Jan. 14. We will announce it (a new date for auction) soon on our Web site.”

The 3G auction has become a joke as it’s the third time, the auction date has been postponed. No wonder, operators are looking forward to LTE more than 3G.
