You gotta give full marks to Google for creating hype around the Nexus One. After getting streams of pictures, videos, hands-on and side-by-side comparisons with other phones, we’ve finally got the much needed specs. The phone has been confirmed to run on Snapdragon processor with Android 2.1 and includes other meaty features like 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, 512MB RAM/ROM, 5MP auto focus camera, Wi-Fi, HSPA, A-GPS, Bluetooth, accelerometer, digital compass, 3.5mm earphone jack, microSD card slot and Teflon-coated back cover.
Google apparently recognizes the drool worthiness of the Nexus One, which is why they’ll have invite-only retail sales in the beginning (scheduled to begin from January 5). The criterion to get invited is unknown but as Engadget points out, the invitation might go out first to developers. Of course, it will be available to all but that will take some time.
