Seagate’s 7mm HDDs we mentioned few days back has got all the required details. The drive is the world’s thinnest 2.5-inch HDD and will be sold under the Momentus brand. Seagate reckons entry of such thin drives will drive manufacturers to churn out slimmer and cheaper laptops.
Good thing is that the thin profile hasn’t taken a toll on its performance. The drives will come in capacities of 160GB/250GB and features SATA interface support, 8MB cache and 5,400 RPM speed.
It will be available from next month.
