Acer’s maiden offering from the Android arena has made its way out. The Liquid A1 Android phone is out in the market now that is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor albeit underclocked.
Acer also spoke about its future smartphone plans and confirmed that more Android phones will be launched next year, keeping a perfect balance of Android and WinMo phones.
Acer launched 10 smartphones this year and hopes to maintain the same figure for the next year too, unlike other manufacturers.
“Our sweet spot is probably 8-10 devices, there we would feel comfortable,” said Aymar de Lencquesaing from Acer.
Acer plans to snag about 6-7 percent of the smartphone market in the next 5 years by selling feature-packed affordable smartphones.
