If you’re one of the buyers of PSPgo that went on sale today, don’t forget to update the handheld with the new v6.10 update. The update ensures full compatibility with PSP games as well as MediaGo. Oh yes, PSP owners (with UMD) can also go ahead with the update.
The update will add Sony’s SenseMe technology for music. SenseMe uses 12 Tone Analysis technology to evaluate songs and categorize them into 12 channels like Newly Added, Favorites, Relax etc. Here’s a video giving a quick walkthrough.
Another interesting update Sony brings for the PSPgo owners is tethering. PSPgo owners will be able to pair the console with a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone (or any other device) to use it as a modem for the PSP.
Sony also updated the MediaGo PC application. The latest version will give access to the PlayStation Store and buy music, games, videos right from the PC.
