If you’re looking to step up from a point-and-shoot to a decently spec’d DSLR, Pentax’s got something for you. The K-x brings in number of features for a sensible price tag. Equipped with a CMOS image sensor that can take pictures at 12.4 megapixel resolution, Pentax Prime II image processing engine and automatic mode, a user will be able to take topnotch photos without having to fiddle much of the settings.
Additionally, K-x has an 11-point AF system, anti-shake reduction, True High Dynamic Range, 4.7fps capture speed, face detection, 2.7-inch LCD with Live View and HD video recording at 720p resolution (24fps).
The stock Pentax K-x will come in black whereas a red and a navy colored K-x will be announced later on. Its priced at $649.95 along with DA L 18-55mm lens and arrives in October.
