At the IndiaOn conference held by Qualcomm, LG introduced its Qualcomm chip powered GM730 phone for the Indian market. The phone runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro OS but is loaded with LG’s S-Class UI so that the user doesn’t get bored of WinMo’s bland interface. The phone sports a 3-inch (240×400) TFT touchscreen display, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 5MP autofocus camera and microSD card slot.
With the entry of GM730, LG expects to grab a 20 percent in the touchscreen phone market. The phone will start selling from this month at around Rs. 24,000.
