Qualcomm will soon launch its affordable gaming console in the Mexican market. Known as Zeebo, Qualcomm targets emerging markets where gaming is an expensive investment and needs buying of physical media to play new games. Zeebo basically removes the need to buy physical media as it supports wireless downloading. Games can be downloaded via 3G network (Telcel in Mexico) which can be played from its 1GB NAND flash memory. Zeebo comes with 4 pre-installed titles and includes one title to be downloaded for free.
The console will hit Mexico in time for Christmas at an unspecified sprice.
