It’s the first time both Nokia and Microsoft have come together and the alliance looks beneficial to everyone, including the consumers. Microsoft will create Office Mobile and other range of productivity tools and will be developed as well as marketed to Symbian smartphone users, carriers and businesses. To initiate, Nokia plans to introduce these solutions in its future Eseries phones, after which will be available for other Nokia smartphones.
The different Microsoft solutions include Office Mobile which will give the ability to view, edit, create Office documents; Enterprise-grade instant messaging; access from mobile to intranet and extranet sites built on Sharepoint Server; and Enterprise device management with Microsoft System Center.
