Nintendo have posted the earnings of the last quarter that ended in June. The good thing about the result is that despite its competitor like Sony posting a loss, Nintendo has booked some profit but way down the expected level.
They have reported a sales drop of 40 percent and profits down by 60.6 percent as compared to the same quarter a year ago. Lack of any major title release and also the strong Yen has been blamed for low profits.
Despite the Wii juggernaut slowing down, Nintendo still expects to sell 26m Wiis and around 30m DS and DSi units by the end of March 1, 2010.
