Walt Disney to sell movies loaded on microSD cards in Japan

In an effort to increase distribution and letting consumers watch movies on the go, Walt Disney in Japan will be selling movies loaded on microSD cards. The cards will be sold in a DVD + microSD set that will start selling from November 4.

The videos will be encoded in popular format and as per Walt Disney will work on wide range of mobile phones, PMPs and even navigation systems.

The DVD and microSD set prices will vary according to the title, which starts from 3,360 Yen ($36) and goes up to 4,935 Yen ($53).
