Sony Corp. CEO, Howard Stringer is particularly not amused by the price cut blabber going on by industry stalwarts, the recent being Activision CEO who threatened to pull out from the PlayStation platform. Stringer turned down Kotick’s threat as a standard business tactic and said, “He likes to make a lot of noise. He’s putting pressure on me and I’m putting pressure on him. That’s the nature of business.”
While it makes perfect sense for PS3 to get a price cut and expect a surge in sales, Stringer is totally against the idea. “I (would) lose money on every PlayStation I make — how’s that for logic,” said Stringer.
Till Stringer eats his own words, we might have to suffice ourselves with the power bundles.
