iphone-3gs-overheat

Want some brown color for your spanking new white iPhone 3GS? You can have it at no extra cost except for fulfilling few conditions, which is to keep on its GPS most of the time and surf on 3G. The iPhone 3GS will overheat, bake inside and give you nice brown shade on the outside…for free.

Alright, jokes apart. This in fact, is a serious issue for Apple if it turns out to be true. Overheating has been an issue since iPhone 3G but no one has experienced such discoloration.

Apple has asked the owner to return the unit for further analysis. Let’s just hope it’s an isolated case or Apple might have to unwillingly prepare for a recall.

My first G3 was running really hot until one day the back and connector turned brown and I was unable to sync or charge. I ended up returning the phone and getting an new one. No problems so far.
