Adobe will be releasing a beta version of Flash Player 10 for smartphones in October. The confirmation came during a Q2 earnings call where Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen told that the player will hit in October on Windows Mobile, Google’s Android, Palm’s webOS and Symbian platforms. If you’re trying to search for one of the hottest phones in that list, let me tell you that Flash Player won’t be seen on iPhone because Apple does not want it yet. However, Adobe said they are working on it and will deliver to the iPhone users when Apple approves it.
In addition to the software platforms, hardware suppliers like ARM, Nvidia, Broadcom, Intel, TI, and Qualcomm are optimizing the player for their devices.
