Nikon has made its entry level D5000 DSLR offering official. The compact 12.3 megapixel camera is aimed at first time and pro DSLR users because of its integration of easy to use controls and giving decent features as well as performance. It has a unique 2.7-inch Variangle swiveling screen, subject tracking autofocus, 19 automatic scene modes and 720p HD recording.
In addition to it, the camera’s CMOS sensor is equipped with EXPEED image processing system, has a sensitivity range from ISO 200 to 3200 with expansion up to 6400, in-camera image editor, SDHC card support and HDMI port.
The D5000 will be available later this month at a list price of $850 which includes an AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens. Body only D5000 will sell for $730.
