Apple’s been bullish on its unibody construction style since it first integrated with the Macbooks last year and to see the unibody design in other Apple devices is not surprising at all. A new patent filed by Apple reveals that the iPod range will too get the advantages of unibody construction. Though we have no idea if Apple is going for the whole aluminized iPod range but the figure clearly shows that iPod Classic is one of the first music devices destined to get the makeover.
The patent says it will use sheet metal for the casing for reducing costs thus making the device thin, sturdy and light.
