It looks like Asus is trying to slow down the pace of Asus branded phones in the market with the new alliance with Garmin. It is being reported that France was destined to get the P565 handset last month but now, the phone will not be released. However, it is unclear if P565 will return with the dual branding or not.
P565 is currently selling in India and I had a talk with the PR exec who confirmed that Asus does not wish to withdraw the phone from the market. The executive also said that Asus will continue to roll out their own branded phones apart from the Garmin-Asus ones that will be launched most probably later in this year.
