Nokia’s 5800 XpressMusic has been doing well in most of the markets and India is no exception. Launched on Jan 4, according to Nokia channel partners, 58,000 units of 5800XM (58k for 5800, coincidence?!) have been sold within three weeks of its launch. But does the phone’s success got to do with the features alone? I would say an attractive price point. Nokia knows the Indian market pretty well and with the current set of high-end phones that were priced crazily, price conscious Indian consumers needed the same set of features but at an acceptable price tag, which made 5800XM an apt choice.
