Sony DVD burner for India is ‘dustproof’

Sony is trying something new to sell their 22X DVD burner in India, which in marketing parlance is often referred to as a marketing gimmick. Citing a feedback from the channel partners as dust is one of the major deterrents for optical drives, Sony has announced a DVD burner equipped with ‘dustproof technology’. The drive integrates 6 sponges on the inside of bottom cover, bezel and PWB to make it dustproof and increase the life of the drives by 20%.

The AD-7220S-ID will sell throughout India for Rs. 1,300 ($27).
