Analysts are back again and this time they go for Dell. Shaw Wu from Kaufman Bros. says that Dell will announce a new phone at the 3GSM or Mobile World Congress next month.
“The exact timing of Dell’s launch is not clear but our sources indicate it is closer to reality than before,” said Wu. He also said that Dell has been studying the mobile phone market for quite some time and is already in talks with different component suppliers.
Another analyst with IDC, Ryan Reith echoes the same sentiment. “Dell may be closer than ever to the finish line”. In 2007 Dell had hired Ron Garriques, a former Motorola executive which makes him to believe that Dell could be ready to offer the market outside PC.
