Samsung-NC10

Samsung’s US subsidiary will soon be selling a decent range of laptops to fight for the market share this upcoming holiday season. They’ll also be letting loose its first netbook, NC10 soon for a modest price of $499.

Notebooks to be launched are – X360, X460, Q310, R610, P460 and P560. The first two notebooks, X360 and X460 are the same which we mentioned before and the pricing for these starts from $1,599.

Q310 is a 13.3-inch notebook which starts from $1,149 while R610, a 16-inch monster will go for $1049. Finally, the last two notebooks to make an entry are P460 and P560 which are rugged offerings coming from Samsung’s stable.

All the notebooks are pretty identical in specifications with Intel Core 2 Duo processor onboard, 3GB RAM, Wi-Fi, 1.3 megapixel camera, 3x USB 2.0 ports, LAN, Bluetooth 2.0 and HDMI output. Q310 seems a basic mobile offering whereas R610 is more of multimedia workhorse. It differentiates itself with an integrated albeit discreet 10-key pad and dedicated 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GS graphics card.

The rugged options come with a spill resistant keyboard, shock resistant HDD, fingerprint reader and NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS GPU for handling the gaming and multimedia department. P460 and P560 will start selling from $1,149.
