In a small island country down south east better known as New Zealand saw a perfect launch for Sony’s new Walkman E430 series PMPs. The NWZ-E435, NWZ-E436, and NWZ-E438 come in storage capacities of 2GB, 4GB and 8GB respectively. All the players will sport a small 2-inch QVGA screen capable of producing colors up to 262K. Music formats like MP3/WMA/AAC/Linear PCM play at ease and video formats MPEG-4/H.264 are supported. One notable thing of this line up is that music syncing will be easier because of the iTunes and WMP support.
Expected battery life for audio is expected at around 30 hours for a decent 128kbps file. If you’re cheap enough to compress at 48kbps, you may get around 76 hours of playback. On the video front, 7 hours is the maximum output the battery can give when ripped at 384kbps.
The 2GB variant will be available in colors of Black and Pink; 4GB in Black, Blue, Pink and Red and 8GB only in Black. No idea on pricing or availability.
