Sony USA has just updated its Cyber Shot range with the inclusion of DSC-T77 and DSC-T700 digital cameras. T77 is the slimmest point and shoot camera Sony has ever produced. The camera comes with a 10 megapixel Carl Zeiss lens supporting 4X optical zoom. The touch sensitive LCD at the back measures 3-inch diagonally and boasts advanced features like scene recognition, anti-blink and smile shutter technology. Anti-blink function will enable the camera to take two shots of the subject and then determine whether the subject(s) have closed eyes using their advanced face detection. If both the pictures fail to capture the subject with eyes open, it will warn the photographer to shoot again if the subject’s eyes close during the flash.
Another camera, T700 is the same as T77 in terms of features except a tad fatter profile, 3.5-inch LCD and 4GB internal memory. Both the cameras have the option to expand memory with M2 cards.
Sony Style will start pre-ordering these cameras from August 29 at a price tag of $300 for T77 and $400 for T700. Hundred bucks more for additional storage. That’s expensive.
